vanessa is an artist from vienna. in each print of darling they choose one woman from a different city around the world and feature how her life reflects her style, also daily inspirations and influences in her art.  the article has a full interview with vanessa but here are a few of my favorite words from her:

“my feelings and comfort depend so much on my mental state…so what i need is at least one moment a day where i can center myself, and that happens by doing different kinds of exercises or routines to become aware of who i am, what i love and what makes me happy.”

“i see beauty in character and personality of a woman, in the attitude one has. i am impressed by women that are independent, gutsy, and tough..women who have certain hobbies or goals in life–those that aim for a certain lifestyle and passionately pursue what they want. i love those with characteristics of being honest and straight, and those who say what they really mean…women who are open minded, that are not prejudging others and are curious to learn consistently and always daring to ask questions.”
