a couple of months ago i posted some sneak previews about some new designs from sseko, and i am thrilled to say the leather clutch collection is finally here! earlier this year i was in uganda shooting for sseko, so i got to see these bad boys being made from start to finish (and i wanted to take every single one home with me.) these clutches are an instant love for fall and a great gift to give a friend/mom/girlfriend/sister. and they are just as gorgeous in person. AND sseko is a company you can shop with and know you are supporting the true meaning of sustainability.
but all of that is beside the point, these clutches/designs are made with a truly beautiful vision by a bright group of ugandan women who are stoked to further their education where they continue on to university. this particular collection is called the white arrow collection//choose your own path and is dedicated to the sseko class of 2012 who have all inspired us with their determination and have been leaders in their culture/community and will now start college this fall. the women of sseko are inspiring and empowering women all over the world to keep going, no matter what.
when liz (sseko founder) asked me to shoot this new collection i couldn’t say yes fast enough. it was one of my favorite shoots recently and i am honored that i got to see the whole process start to finish and be a part of the whole vision. leilani, maggie, and i hopped in the car, road tripped out to palm springs and had a blast on this shoot.
here are some tear sheets from the new collection: and don’t forget to shop HERE!!
